Maru is an extravagant tale that blows across 4 continents driven by the winds of self-deception and greed as it peels back the face of our electronic addictions to expose the incendiary core of what’s real and what isn’t. It’s the epic story of a lost generation completely consumed by the massive made-up world of the Internet. At its heart, it’s about who we are as human beings, our values and our future, and the war that engulfs us with technologies that expose everything while hiding the truth in plain sight. 
 

Maru is all about that world and the darkness and the light that surrounds it and two old friends, both strong women, who have lost themselves each in their own separate worlds. Sharon Martin is a renowned feminist author. Her own path leads her to rediscover her son and find a true home with her fiancé Dieter’s extended family in Lago Di Como. And that has its challenges. She’s not married. She’s not Catholic. And she’s an American! Her friend Maru lusts for fame and power and she buries herself in gaining Attention on the web by any means, a choice for which costs must be paid.
